When our internal consistency is low i.e., lower than 0.8 level of Cronbach value, it may affect our further analysis. Therefore, it is important to modify the data when a reliability test has been applied. Modifying the data to test reliability test is simple. We have to follow a simple hit & run method, where we place lower values in place of higher values and vice versa. We can also remove a variable from reliability testing if that variable has no role in attaining the objectives or the hypothesis.
